Yes, I’m a comedian. But I’m also sobered by our collective numbness.

“Resensitizing” is the word I’ve used to describe my process of learning, re-learning, and getting acquainted with the world around me.

I really hoped I wasn’t alone in my love of learning. It made sense to create a way for others to join the conversation — and that’s how “Resensitizing” the podcast was born.

Chelsea Hart is me

People assume they know all about me based on what my haters have said.

They know very little.

Long story short:

I’m a kid from small-town Alaska who bought a one-way ticket to the UK and started singing opera on the sidewalks of London.

I’m a street performer turned comedian who cut my teeth performing for unimpressed Brits.

Touring as a stand-up offered me a depth of connection I’d never experienced before and left me craving every opportunity I could get to know and understand human beings.

Aftrer the lockdown ended in the UK, I returned to the States. I went viral on TikTok for good reasons. I went really viral on TikTok for ugly reasons. I attempted suicide — and lived.

I got help. I started making noise about what matters to me. I started a podcast.

I’m a lot of things. The only thing I will never not be: human.
